How do dog owners of dogs in dog shows?

Keep them from sniffing and wanting to mate with each other. You never see any of these dogs acting inappropriately while with other dogs. I have a dog run for my 4 dogs (2 boys and 2 girls) and I have a fence down the middle that separates them to keep them from mating and sniffing. Just wondered what the owners of these dogs in dog shows do to keep them from doing this because it is nature for dogs to do this.
